The Ashtanga Vinyasa Foundation Course is an education program whose aim is to educate students on Ashtanga Vinyasa “Roga Chikitsa Vibhaga” (Primary Series).

It is the sequence that helps the physical body and rids the body of disease. Following in line with much of yogic philosophy, the way in also begins with dealing with the external form first. You must understand your physical body first.

Much disease in contemporary life is derived from diet. Therefore, the postures in primary series emphasize forward folds in order to compress the digestive organs and stretch the back of the spine.

Students will learn the essential poses practically in its ancient form with the help of Yoga Scriptures and advanced Anatomy & Physiology designed by Indian sages.

As a student you will understand this ancient knowledge. Moreover, you will have more clarity about Asana and other limbs of yoga. This will enable you to be confident in executing your own yoga practice so that you can continue your journey towards your True Self with a Healthy Body and Mind.

Course includes:

  • Ashtanga Vinyasa practice (Primary Series)
  • Anatomy & Physiology of the pose
  • Yoga Sutra Philosophy
  • Karma Yoga

After completing the course you will receive a certificate from our yoga school Khushi Yoga Foundation. This will prepare you for the Teacher Training Program if you wish to follow the teaching path.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Foundation And TTC

The goal of this course is to educate yoga students on the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series also known as “Roga Chikitsa Vibhaga.” During this course, we will cover every posture of the Primary Series in both modern and ancient context. This will be supported by anatomy, physiology and the yogic scriptures themselves. Students will receive enhanced clarity about each pose and their own asana practice.

The practice of yoga is more than a physical discipline and for this reason we also include the other limbs of yoga. The study of the 8 limbs of yoga enables you to become confident in your own self-practice and to continue your journey toward the quest of your true self. A healthy body and mind are two of the ingredients!

The course includes a variety of classes such as daily Mysore-style morning practice, anatomy, asana alignment, philosophy, pranayama, meditation and shat kriyas

Hatha Yoga TTC

You can become a skilled and dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher through the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course at Kushi Yoga Foundation. Dive deep into learning and knowledge on the path to the unification of your mind, body, and soul so that you can share it with others as a teacher and example.

A Story About Hatha Yoga Vidya (Knowledge):
Hatha Yoga Vidya reveals the action of holding firmly a body in a particular posture while the mind is in meditation. The focus is on power, aim, and gaze. The wife of Lord Shiva, the goddess Parvati, once approached the Lord and asked how she could be relieved of pain and suffering.

Lord Shiva then told her the answer was in performing hatha yoga, which leads to raja yoga. Raja yoga is known as the royal path of yoga toward enlightenment. It promotes a balanced mind and body as a way to be liberated from pain in order to reach moksha. The science of hatha yoga helps you find peace through the duality, or opposing forces, of your own inner nature.

Ayurvedic Massage Course

Ayurvedic massage combines the 5,000-year-old Indian principles of Ayurveda—the science of life—along with pressure points. This type of massage is designed to create balance in the mind, body, and spirit to assist the body’s healing capacity. It’s sometimes referred to as an “oil massage” because it typically incorporates warm herb essential oils, as well as time-honored and non-traditional strokes that are tailored to each individual.

This Ayurvedic oil massage is called abhyanga. It has many physical benefits such as releasing muscle tension, lymphatic drainage, and nourishing the skin from head to toe. What makes it stand out from other massage is its focus on the skin, not just the underlying muscles. You can think of it as like a facial massage for your whole body because it stimulates your circulation through the various strokes.
